In Maths we will be learning addition and subtraction within 10. We will be comparing temperature, learning to recognise coins and using coins to pay for items up to 10p.
Language, Literacy and communication
We will be working up to Phase 4 phonics and consolidating our reading and writing of phase 3 sounds and tricky words. We will be reading the story of 'Zog' and recoginsing rhyming words and making rhyming strings.
Personal, Social Wellbeing and Cultural Diversity
We will be visiting the Year 1 area to get ready for next year. We will continue to follow our class rules. We will be learning to work cooperatively by playing lots of team games.
We have enjoyed welcoming our parents into our classrooms to see how we learn and play. Thank you for your continued support this year!
Following the information evening on 18th October your child will start to bring home a school reading book, as well as their chosen story book. We will aim to read with your child in school at least once a week and ask that you will read with your child every day at home. To support this please ensure your child has a purple book bag to keep their books and reading diary in.
Your child needs a PE kit in school which can stay on their peg and will be sent home at half term to be washed. Our PE day is Thursday. To help your child please support and encourage them to get dressed and undressed with growing independence at home.
Sports Day is coming up, please ensure your child has outdoor footwear for PE.
