Spring Term
‘SuperKid’ by Claire Freedman

Summer Term
'Journey' by Aaron Becker

Class 8 are in their final school term in the Foundation Phase

This term they will be working on the theme of Journeys. Children will be looking at different types of journeys that they may go on, different ways of travel and also different places to visit.

They will begin this topic in a fun filled ‘Around the World in a Day’ themed day. This will enable them to have an insight into different cultures and traditions within different countries and provide them with a brief understanding of the expectations when travelling.

Reading is an important skill to support your child’s language development. It is important for your children to read in and out of school and we greatly appreciate your support in reading for 10 minutes each day with them.

Class 8 have been working hard on the new Inspire Maths scheme and have made great progress. They have been working on numbers to 1000, column addition, column subtraction, multiplication and division. They are going to be using their 2, 3, 4, 5 & 10 times tables this term so any help practicing at home will be much appreciated.

During the Summer Term can you please ensure your child has a hat in school, a water bottle and is wearing sun cream on hotter days.
