Year 1 at Broughton is a nurturing and exciting time where children continue their Foundation Phase journey through play, talk, and hands-on learning. Stories, practical activities, and outdoor learning help children explore ideas, ask questions, and make sense of the world.
Wellbeing is central to Year 1. Staff support children to feel safe, valued, and confident as they build positive relationships, manage emotions, and develop resilience. Clear routines and a caring environment help pupils grow in independence while feeling supported, creating strong foundations for their academic and personal development.
