Welcome to Year 3
Year 3 at Broughton Primary School is an important transition year as pupils move into Key Stage 2. Building on the Foundation Phase, there is a strong focus on developing greater independence, confidence and responsibility for learning. Pupils are encouraged to explore ideas through practical, hands-on experiences before gradually moving on to more formal methods. Outdoor learning plays an important role, providing meaningful opportunities to apply skills, develop curiosity and support wellbeing. Learning is rooted in the Curriculum for Wales and reflects our school values. Year 3 provides a supportive and nurturing environment where pupils grow academically, socially and emotionally.
