Welcome to Year 5
Year 5 at Broughton Primary School is a key stage where pupils continue to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. Building on strong foundations, children are encouraged to challenge themselves and take greater responsibility for their learning. Lessons are engaging and purposeful, rooted in the Curriculum for Wales and enriched through meaningful experiences that reflect our school values and community.
Wellbeing and personal development remain a strong focus. Pupils are supported to develop teamwork, resilience and positive relationships, while beginning to take on roles that prepare them for leadership in Year 6. Year 5 is an important and supportive year that helps pupils grow academically, socially and emotionally as they move towards the upper end of the school.
